We’re pretty sure that this NLL ref has been watching Wes McCauley highlights.

On Saturday night, the Vancouver Stealth and the Colorado Mammoth went head to head in National Lacrosse League action. If you followed the action you will know that the teams didn’t seem too fond of each other on this night.

Case in point, with less than a minute played in the fourth quarter, Colorado’s Zack Greer and Vancouver’s Chris O’Dougherty got a little physical with each other.

Crew chief Todd Labranche assessed each player a penalty. In doing so, he gave one of the greatest penalty calls of all-time in the NLL.

That brings us back to how we started this off, because clearly Labranche has been watching and taking notes from the National Hockey League’s McCauley on making penalty calls. We can only hope that this will continue the rest of the time that Labranche is in control of the game.
