However, things don’t usually get too far out of hand. That is until this past weekend when Ivan Savvidis, the owner of PAOK (a Greek Super League soccer team owner) took things too far.

After his team’s 89th minute goal was disallowed in a huge game against AEK Athens, Savvidis stormed onto the field with a gun on his hip which caused the game to be stopped.

Following this incident, the entire league was suspended indefinitely on Monday.

We all know about hooligans that attend soccer matches in Italy, Spain, Scotland and England, but this is absolutely insane. There is no viable reason that anybody should on the soccer pitch with a gun confronting an official or anybody for that matter.

Now the entire league is suffering the consequences from one owner’s insane actions.
