The former head coach and defensive coordinator at Mount Allison University, guided the team to back to back Loney Bowl titles as the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) champions in 2013 and 2014.

Brady was named defensive coordinator for Mount Allison in 2011 before becoming the head coach in 2016. During his time, the Mounties appeared in four straight Loney Bowls (2013-16) and put up the first undefeated regular season in the school’s history in 2014.

During the 2014 perfect season, his defense ranked first in the country in points allowed per game (eight), first in takeaways (29), third in years per game allowed (324), third in rushing yards allowed per game (98) and third in sacks (27).

Also joining the staff for 2018 is Kelly Ireland who will serve as an offensive assistant while aiding in the recruiting efforts.

Ireland played varsity football at Saint Mary’s University where he was a Vanier Cup finalist in 1999 and a two-time AUS all-star. He was drafted by the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes in 1998.

In 2000, he moved into the coaching field, spending four seasons as the offensive line coach with the Hamilton Ironman before assuming head coaching duties at Brantford, Ontario’s Assumption high school. He would win three Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA) championships and advanced to the Western Bowl twice.

Ireland spent five seasons on staff at Saint Mary’s where he coached the offensive line and coordinated the run game. He also was the head coach for the Brantford Bisons of the Ontario Football Conference between 2014 and 2016.

While McMaster adds to the organization, they also say goodbye to Eric Boyd who served as the manager of football operations and video for 2017. Boyd is departing to pursue business opportunities after spending four seasons with the Marauders where he started as video coordinator to take the lead on all logistical facets of the football program.
