On Tuesday, the team announced they had recalled goaltender Dylan Ferguson from the WHL Kamloops Blazers on an emergency basis.

The move was needed because the Knights goal crease has become a danger zone for the netminders.

Back on October 13th, Marc-Andre Fleury suffered a concussion, then nine days later Malcolm Subban hit the injured reserve list with a lower-body injury. If that wasn’t enough, on Monday night Oscar Dansk left the game against the New York Islanders after appearing to injure his leg.

This leaves Vegas will just Maxime Lagace between the pipes, an undrafted free agent who signed with the Knights in July. He will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night at Madison Square Gardens against the New York Rangers. Not a bad place to make your debut but under the circumstances, it may not be a good one.

Ferguson was a seventh-round draft pick for the Knights in this past June’s draft, and has a 4.05 goals-against average and an .878 save percentage in 13 games with Kamloops this season.

Let’s hope Legace doesn’t bust with this hand he is dealt.
