It’s one thing to get a chance to make your Major League debut, but it is another thing to make history while doing it.

We all know when September hits, MLB rosters get expanded to give teams a look at some minor leaguers and prospects. One of those was Brian Moran on Thursday night at the age of 30-years of age with the Miami Marlins.

To add to it, he made history as the second batter he faced was his brother Colin who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, becoming the first brothers in over a century to face each other on an MLB field in a pitcher vs batter scenario.

Making it all that more surreal of a moment, Brian got his very first strikeout of his career against his brother on a called strike with a 3-2 count.

At least we know who will have the bragging rights at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner this year in the Moran family.
