It sounds like Oakland Raiders receiver is not dealing with blisters on his feet but frostbite.

Yes, we said frostbite on a star player who is at camp in California. It’s almost something you expect a Canadian hockey player to get not an NFL player.

Well, Brown posted photos of his feet that looked ridiculously blistered, but it was in fact frostbite and it is not a pretty sight. The photos showed Brown’s feet peeling layers of skin.

It was pretty much confirmed on Monday, though, when somebody close to the NFL star said that the foot issue that was keeping Brown off the field was caused by using a cryotherapy machine without the proper footwear which resulted in the frostbite.

Cryotherapy is used by many athletes to help relieve muscle pain, sprains and swelling after soft tissue damage or surgery. It can be as small as an ice pack or a full-on cold chamber.

Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not comment on the situation.

He currently is listed on the non-football injury list and is seeing a specialist. Brown is listed as day to day on the injury list.
