Felony robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief charges have all been dropped by prosecutors against Conor McGregor.

Back in March, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion was captured on video getting into an altercation with a fan in Miami. Ahmed Abdirzak tried to get a picture with McGregor who appeared, on video, to slap the phone out of his hand and then destroyed it by stomping on it repeatedly.

According to prosecutor Khalil Madani, “The victim of the crime does not wish to return to the United States and prosecute this case.”

Instead of prosecuting McGregor, Abdirzak agreed to an out-of-court settlement with the fighter.

McGregor, 30, announced his retirement from the UFC and mixed martial arts in March. However, many believe this is just a play so that he can get exactly what he wants in his next contract for a fight, shares in the UFC. It is a goal that he has shared publicly.
