It is rare to witness a perfect baseball game. It is also rare to see the accomplishment happen in softball.

However, a New York high school softball pitcher was absolutely perfect this past week.

Mahopac High School’s Shannon Becker threw a very impressing performance on the mound that anybody has heard and seen in some time. Becker struck out all 21 batters she faced during a seven-inning game and could possibly be a New York state record.

If that is not impressive enough, in Becker’s last two starts, including the perfect game, she has struck out 41 batters.

The accomplishment isn’t bad but considering she is just 16-years old it is downright impressive. She has been regarded as a top pitcher at her level and is garnering interest from colleges across America and hopes to go pro one day.

The only thing better would be the immaculate game, 21 strikeouts on 63 pitches. You can bet Becker will be aiming for that in her next start.
