Oakland Expects Murray To Enter NFL Draft
The Oakland Athletics believe that reigning Heisman Trophy winner and Athletics draft pick Kyler Murray will declare this weekend for the upcoming NFL draft.

Murray, who is an outfielder on the diamond, is scheduled to report to spring training in Arizona on February 15, a couple weeks ahead of the NFL’s scouting combine. It is unclear if he will leave camp to attend the combine, but reports indicate that he is leaning towards football.

Oakland can hold onto his baseball rights in case he returns to the diamond, but they would not get a compensatory pick in the 2019 draft if he chose the grid iron. As far as his bonus with the Athletics, by declaring for the draft it would not affect them as he could still return them.

Harden Ties 2nd Longest Streak
The Houston Rockets lost on Wednesday night, but James Harden kept a hot hand going, as he extended his incredible scoring streak.

The reigning NBA MVP dropped 42 points in a 116-109 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks, but it was the 14th consecutive game where Harden scored 30 or more points, tying Tracy McGrady for the second longest such streak since the NBA and ABA merged in 1967-77.

Harden is now two games away from tying Kobe Bryant for the longest streak of 16 games which Bryant sent during the 2002-2003 season.

He would need just 30 shots to reach the 42 point make to go along with 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, one rejection and a monstrous nine turnovers.

Jetting To The Big Apple
The New York Jets are expected to announce Adam Gase as their new head coach.Gase was dismissed following the 2018 NFL season by the Miami Dolphins after a 7-9 seasons, bringing his coaching total with the club to 23-25 over three seasons.

The Jets had also interviewed Kliff Kingsbury, who joined the Arizona Cardinals, former Packers coach Mike McCarthy and former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell for the formerly vacant position.

He previously had stints as the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos (2013) and Chicago Bears (2014). During his time in Denver, Payton Manning threw a record-setting 55 passing touchdowns in a single campaign.

The Jets fired Todd Bowles on December 30 after piloting the Jets to a 24-40 record over four seasons. New York has yet to have a winning season since 2015.

As it stands now, the Cincinnati Bengals and Dolphins are the only teams remaining without a new head coach for the 2019 season.

Ex-Alabama Linebacker Bans Drake From Supporting Crimson Tide
Canadian Rapper Drake is a huge sports fan who has a reputation as a bandwagoner who brings a lot of bad lick to the teams he supports.

So, after Monday night’s loss in the CFP national championship game many Alabama fans were blaming him as he was spotted at the game wearing a Crimson Tide sweatshirt.

Now former Crimson Tide linebacker and current UFC fighter Eryk Anders wants Drake to get back in his own lane and distance himself from the team.

"I don't think there's a bigger bandwagon fan out there than Drake himself, you know," Anders told TMZ Sports. "I don't know what it is, but it just seems like everything he touches, with the exception of (UFC fighter) Max Holloway, everything seems to come to a sudden halt and just crashes and explodes. It's okay for him to wear Tennessee and Notre Dame gear, but never again is he allowed to wear Bama."

Anders even tweeted out on Monday that he wanted to fight Drake, "It's all fun and games, it was just a joke. But I really do got some heat for Drake right now," Anders said.

Anders played for the Crimson Tide from 2006-09, winning a championship in his final year.

It gets us to thinking that maybe Drake is a curse. The Toronto Raptors have yet to make a finals appearance, he supported Conor McGregor in the fight where he was KO’d by Khabib and Kentucky Wildcats basketball has not won the title since 2012.

Yeah, it is likely that the Drake Curse is real. What do you think?
