The NCAA college football season is just a week old and we already have seen blowouts, upsets and huge plays from across the game.

Even more outstanding moments took place on Monday night.

In the game between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Florida State Seminoles we got to see one of the shortest punt returns for a touchdown in the game’s history as the Hokies’ special teams stepped up for a massive block in the second quarter.

It was the second time in the week that we got to see a short punt return TD as Toledo’s Cody Thompson pulled off a very similar looking play in the Rockets’ 66-3 victory over the Virginia Military Institute Keydets. This one by Toledo is probably the shortest one ever.

Thompson pretty much grabbed the ball before the kicker could even make contact with the ball. It would have been easier to just hand it off to him like he was a running back in the back field.

If this is any indication in how the NCAA season is going to be, we are in store for a lot of exciting highlight reel plays the rest of the way.
