Don’t be looking for a change in net for the Washington Capitals as Barry Trotz is staying with Philipp Grubauer for game 2.

Grubauer stopped all but four of the 27 shots he faced in the Capitals’ 4-3 overtime loss in game 1, but none of the goals were really his fault.

Nevertheless, it is still a little surprising that Trotz has not turned to Braden Holtby, his former Vezina Trophy winning goaltender, even though he did not have that great of a season.

You have to think that unless the Caps get the victory in game 2 or that Grubauer is outstanding even in a tight loss, Holtby will be in net for the third game of the series.

Game 2 between the Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets goes Sunday night starting at 7:30 PM.
